Night sounds in the marsh at Fish Springs NWR, Utah

Herons, ducks, and many other wetland creatures are often active throughout the night. In fact, a family group of coyotes finds the night hours to be prime hunting time. Several times they will sound off together. A neighboring pack responds to the challenge in the distance. This recording is from a recorder left running at a heron night roost over night,
